About Natalie

Natalie trained as an actress at the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama. She has a BA Hons in Theatre Arts and her thesis was on educative theatre. Extensive research for this included placement in schools to define the needs of different age groups in order to devise relevant theatre productions and workshops. As a professional actress Natalie  has a huge amount of experience in improvised comedy, and was three times invited to represent the cream of British comedy talent at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal, has worked with the Comedy Store Players.

Natalie played Mimi in Howard & Mimi a comedy 2-hander at the Gilded Balloon and Soho Theatre studio, which was awarded Best Play 2009 in the Fringe Report Awards. Natalie played Eileen O'Shaughnessy in Against The Tide which was nominated for a Scottish BAFTA.

Natalie created Miss Ballooniverse in 2008. Combining her balloon artistry with her comedy improv skills, she has been described as the 'Pixar of the balloon world' entertaining both children and adults at the same time. The versatility of this entertainment form has taken Miss Ballooniverse to every type of gathering imaginable, from  entertaining royalty; fashion shows and black-tie events to parties of all cultures; from factories and offices to weddings; special needs schools to hospitals. Miss Ballooniverse is the entertainer of choice for the Cabinet Office; Soho House Group; Arsenal FC and numerous London hospitals including Barts and the Royal London both at their corporate events and their ward visits.

Her work surprises and delights audiences,  "I love it when people say they've never seen anything like it before. Balloon art has come a long way in recent years and the possibilities are endless". It's also about creating entertainment from the art form . "When I'm making a balloon creation in front of a crowd, it's a fully interactive experience, with laughs a-plenty. The balloons don't last forever but the joyful memories do."

Based in London, Miss Ballooniverse is in demand all over the world at parties and events as well as public appearances on ITV's This Morning, BBC Radio 1, at numerous fashion shows, Royal Ascot and in stores such as Harrods and Selfridges.

Natalie is part of a global community of balloon artists and is often  invited to teach at balloon conventions abroad. In July she will travel to Las Vegas to teach at the international “Bling Bling Jam”.

Natalie is currently in development with Bearkatt Productions, filming a pilot episode of her children’s balloon series “The Amazing Adventures Of Miss Ballooniverse”, directed by Allan Johnson, Bafta award-winning producer of Mr Tumble for the BBC.
